Shipping policy
The good news: Shipping in the U.S is free!
We use USPS Standard or Priority shipping to get your Airthreads products to you quickly. At the moment, we do not offer expedited shipping and we do not ship via UPS or FedEx.
You will receive a tracking number in your email inbox as soon as your package goes out, which can be ~10-15 days after your order is placed, so that your shirt reaches you within 15-20 days after your order is placed.
We appreciate your patience in waiting for your shirts! Every one of our shirts is made-to-order and customers tell us they are well worth the wait. We strive to deliver most shirts to you within ~15-20 days of your order. We can’t wait to get your shirts to you.
We ship to the United States only.
We hope to ship to more countries soon!
Your order will take 15-20 days to get to you. You can see the estimated order delivery date range on every product page below the Add to Cart button before you place your order.
You can also find your estimated order delivery date range on your order confirmation email on the bottom right near the shipping address details.
We strive to deliver most shirts to you within ~15-20 days of your order. Occasionally, an order can take a bit longer, and we appreciate your patience in waiting for your shirts.
Note: New customers, please note if you order 4+ items in your 1st order, we will send you 1 shirt first to ensure that you are satisfied with the fit, fabric etc. We want to ensure that you are happy with the fit before all the shirts are custom-made to your fit. This does mean that your 1st shirt will arrive within 15-20 days and the rest of your order will take a bit longer as we wait for your feedback in case you need to make any changes to your order.
You will receive an email notification for each shirt once it is in production.
Please ensure that your Airthreads email are moved out of spam and getting into your Inbox as we send regular notifications about the status of your order to your email!
To avoid delays in getting your shirts to you we ship each shirt as soon as it is ready. So, it is possible that the shirts are shipped to you in separate packages.
Note for new customers, please note if you order 4+ items in your 1st order, we will send you 1 shirt first to ensure that you are satisfied with the fit, fabric etc. We want to ensure that you are happy with the fit before all the shirts are custom-made to your fit, and we do not offer unlimited returns/refunds.
You will receive a follow-up email checking in on your satisfaction with your 1st shirt before the rest of your order is moved into production.
This is to avoid charging you unnecessary fees (we hate doing that!), And so that you can experience your 1st shirt with peace of mind. Please check your emails as we send important notifications at regular intervals!
You will receive an email notification for each shirt once it is in production.
Returns and exchanges
We want you to love your Airthreads shirts, and we understand that it occasionally takes a 2nd try to get things just right!
Every customer is entitled to a full refund or exchange/remake on 2 unworn, unwashed shirts with original tags attached within 60 days. Instead of a refund on your 1st shirt, we encourage you to try our complimentary exchange/remake for a different size or style as there is no downside for you.

As every shirt is custom-made just for you by independent artisan tailors, we do NOT offer unlimited returns. There are limits that we have outlined below.
- Every customer is entitled to 2 free remakes/exchanges OR refunds on up to 1 item that is unworn & unwashed with original tags attached. The idea behind this is to give you the opportunity to try 1 shirt for fit, fabric etc. to try our products risk-free. You can use the remake (1st complimentary option) in case you need some fit adjustments. And if you are still not satisfied, you can use the refund (2nd & final complimentary option) to return the remade shirt.
- After your 2nd item exchange or refund, we do not offer order modifications or cancellations (for items that have already gone into production), returns for refunds, or complimentary remakes. Once your order has moved into production, the costs of making the shirt to your custom size are already incurred as the tailor cuts the fabric and starts working on your shirt. To avoid unnecessary fees, we recommend buying 1 shirt first to ensure your satisfaction with the fit etc. Once your fit is in our system, every shirt will always be made to your unique fit. Every. Single. Time.
- New customers, please note if you order 4+ items in your 1st order to avoid charging you unnecessary fees (we hate doing that!), we put large orders on-hold and send you 1 shirt first. This is so that you can experience your 1st shirt with peace of mind. Please check your emails as we send important notifications at regular intervals!
- After your 2nd item return or remake, e.g if you wish to have a 3rd shirt made in a different size, we kindly request that you gift or donate the item on your end as we cannot refund or remake it. Please place a new order for this shirt in the updated size you need.
- If you paid for shipping, we cannot refund shipping charges.
- If we shipped your items to the address you provided and they are returned to sender (us) because the address was incorrect, we cannot refund you your order. If you know you need a shipping address update before your item has shipped, simply email us at help@air-threads.com and we can update your order with the correct shipping address. Thanks so much!
Please submit the fit feedback via the "Start Exchange" on your account as follows:
- Log into your account
- Click on your order
- Click on the "Start Exchange" button.
- Answer the questions and submit the exchange request.
- Your request will be reviewed and you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.

When you run through the exchange quiz, you will be asked a few simple questions about the tighness of the shirt around your torso, shirt length and sleeve length.
Based on your answers, we support these adjustments to your shirt fit individually or together
- adjustments to the shirt length
- adjustments to the sleeve length
- adjustments to the torso.
Note: for adjustments to the torso, we do not support micro-adjustments like make the chest wider and the waist narrower as yet. Adjustments to the torso are made holistically.
Once you reach out to us to initiate your exchange or return, you will receive a link to download and print your USPS return shipping label.
Please put the unworn, unwashed shirts into a clean shipping envelope (you can re-use the ones they arrived in), print & affix the shipping label and drop your package to USPS.
Sizing
The shirts on Airthreads aren't mass manufactured and are not just waiting on a shelf for the next customer.
Every shirt you buy from Airthreads is made-to-order, and tailored just for you.
They're made based on your sizing answers. We take those answers about usual shirt size, height, preferred fit and turn them into a pattern and measurements for the tailor, and that's how your unique piece gets made.
Our custom-sizing is as easy as picking a standard size elsewhere!
Click on the "Get your custom size" button on any product page.
1. Pick your usual shirt size.
We offer a LOT including in-between sizes like S-M, M-L etc. If you prefer to choose by collar sizes like 15.5, click on the "Help me choose" link within the "Get your custom size" pop-up.
2. Pick your height.
We adjust your shirt length & sleeve length based on your height.
3. Pick your preferred fit.
Choose between a Slim fit, Regular/Classic fit and a Relaxed fit.
4. Pick between Tucked & Untucked style. Untucked length shirts are slightly shorter so that they look great when worn untucked.
That's all it takes!
Note: Tucked/Untucked option is only offered for Long Sleeved shirts. By default Short Sleeved shirts default to the Untucked shirt length.
Our smart sizing requires super simple answers so that even your wife can buy your shirt for you!
Your collar size like 15.5 maps to a usual shirt size. Click on the "Help me choose" link within the "Get your custom-size" pop-up if you need help selecting the usual shirt size.
We adjust your shirt length & sleeve length based on your height.
To re-order your personalized fit,
- Log in using the same email you placed your previous orders with. Your size & measurements are saved to this account to a particular size combination.
- You should see your size on your account page. You will NOT see measurements. You will see a size combination like M, 5.8, Slim along with an information note that says "Your custom size was "personalized" just for you." While you will not see measurements, this informational note means that your personalized measurements are saved to this size combination
- Check your previous order to see the length of the last shirt you received (Tucked or Untucked).
- When you re-order this size combination you will get exactly the same size as the last shirt you received.
Note: You must be logged in to correctly re-order your personalized measurements. If you do not log in and place an order, the system does not know who you are and your order will not pick up your personalized measurements.
